Arte

One could write an entire blog on all the art here in Italy This was the birthplace of 'western' art and deservedly wears that mantle proudly. Honestly? It's overwhelming. I expected to be awed by the masterpieces in the museums and cathedrals, but it turns out that everywhere you look there's some art form or another: Roman arches, Renaissance architecture and statuary, eastern mozaics as far as the eye can see - or feet walk. Whether it's the masterpieces in Amsterdam:
